Patrice Ramm is a Teacher for the Center for Early Childhood at Eastern Connecticut State University. Patrice has been at the university for the past five years in this role, working with pre-school aged children, her typical class size is thirteen students. Patrice particularly enjoys teaching movement as she feels it is crucial for students to move while they learn.
Patrice is very much involved with the newly developed Parent Teacher Organization at the Early Childhood Center owing to her appreciation for the importance of relationships between the learning environment, students and their families. The PTO meets once a month and Patrice helps with special events such as potluck and story night.
Before working at Eastern, Patrice worked as a pre-school teacher in her hometown of Columbia, CT for many years while her own children grew up. It was during this time that Patrice and her husband began volunteering their time to help with fundraising events at Windham High school, specifically for their basketball team. Patrice continues volunteer efforts within the community by reading at the ‘Stories in the Park’ an event held each year which helps to promote literacy for pre-school children.
Patrice holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with specific focus on Recreation, from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT).
